Description: Big Night in Little Haiti, a new monthly cultural event will enter the collective community calendar in March 2011. The series takes place each Third Friday, and is presented with the support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s 2010 Knight Arts Challenge. Big Night in Little Haiti is a production of the Rhythm Foundation and the Little Haiti Cultural Center.
South Florida residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a free night of Haitian music, arts, food and fun each Third Friday in the heart of Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood. Starting Friday March 18, 2011 and continuing each Third Friday, the plaza, theater and gallery space at the Little Haiti Cultural Center will feature outstanding artists from 6pm – 10pm. The blocks surrounding the Cultural Center are filled with artist studios, restaurants, music venues, cultural facilities and shops. These neighbors will be encouraged to participate in the night, as well. A comprehensive calendar will be organized for each month.
