Fort Lauderdale is having their Great American Beach Party with Connie Francis from “Where the Boys Are.” This film was a classic 1960s film that showed 13,000 college students vacationing in Fort Lauderdale on Spring Break.
On Saturday, the beach party will have a variety of entertainment:
- 10: AM – 2:00 PM Sand Castle Contest
- 11:30 AM Beach Party Kickoff
- 12:00 PM Lu White and the Hot Rods
- 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Family Activities: Face Painter, Beach Games, DJ and Dance Contests
- 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Classic Car Show
- 2:00 PM Fabulons
- 4:00 PM Swing Sisters
- 5:00 PM Cutback Surf Band
- 7:00 PM Tony Ferretti
- 7:30 PM Connie Francis
- 7:50 PM Special Presentation by Mayor Jack Seiler
- 8:15 PM 50th Anniversary Screen of “Where the Boys Are”
Parking is $10 from 5 AM to Midnight at Birch/ Las Olas Intracoastal Lot, Fort Lauderdale Beach Park Lot, Oceanside Lot, Sun Trolley, and Water Taxi.
