The community of Margate is giving your kids the chance to participate in the Poster Contest with the theme “Recycling in Public Places.” They want the message to show how you can recycle in other places besides your home.

Winner of the contest gets $100 gift card. The winner’s design will be featured in the City of Margate’s “Recycling in Public Places” for promos, bus shelters, and bench ads.

We know your kids are talented, so let them show off their skills to become famous in the city of Margate!  Feel free to share your kids designs on Facebook, we will support them too!

Did you know you should recycle your batteries? Like, all of them? Car batteries, notebook batteries, cell phone batteries, those AA batteries in the TV remote, should all be recycled and not placed curbside for a trip to the landfill. The main drop-off point for battery recycling in the Margate area is at BatteriesPlus, a nationwide chain that serves all your battery needs. So, drop off your spent batteries and pick up alkaline, rechargeable, and even lithium ion. You’ll be saving the environment and getting your DVD remote to work all in one stop. I’d say that’s a great deal.
